What the Hell Is a Pence?

Answer: It's the British plural for penny.
Ex: "Five British pence is worth approximately four hundred U.S. dollars."

This is an appropriate segue to the following subject: going to London is almost exactly as expensive as a Ferrari made of unicorns.

The cost of living is higher in London than all of the following places*:
  • Mozambique
  • The Vatican
  • Space Mountain
  • The Trump Taj Mahal
  • The real Taj Mahal
  • The International Space Station

Over the course of the weekend, it became increasingly evident that the British wealth is being used primarily to manufacture silly signs and directories.

Can you spot the Cockfosters?

This one actually did save my life pretty much every time I crossed the street.
Blue Ball Yard did not, however, save my life.
If you don't think this is funny, you're more mature than I am.
If you don't think this is funny, I don't want to be your friend.
